Cheese Ball
Val B. has been making this for years, and it is one of my favourite Christmas treats. Even after I left the Okanagan, she would mail me a nice container of it along with some other Christmas baking. It's the perfect savoury spread. It's chunky, spots of green onion for a little crunch, a little bit of heat, but mostly just cheese. I put my own spin on the recipe in recent years, and no longer just make it for Christmas. If you wanted to make it fancier, you could put it through a blender, and pipe it onto crackers for better presentation, but that seems awfully fussy.
