Buttercream Frosting
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 1-1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 Cups Icing sugar
- 3 Tbsp Milk
- 3 Drops Food Colouring
Instructions
- Don’t microwave your butter. Let it warm up an hour on the counter. Otherwise it gets a weird film on your icing.
- Cream room temperature butter with a hand mixer until smooth and fluffy. Use a mixer. Seriously. If you have time to hand stir this, then you have time to find a mixer.
- Gradually beat in icing sugar until fully incorporated. Then add the vanilla extract.
- Pour in milk and beat for an additional 3 to 4 minutes.
- Add food colouring, and beat for thirty seconds until smooth.
